11:48 PM

Finally a post about myself. WAHAHAHAHA.

I noted that I've been blogging too little about myself lately so yeah, since I'm up and everything waiting to start rooting fervently for Spain - I might as well pass some time babbling to myself about myself. WAHAHAHAHAHA.

Erm... 3/4 of the world I live in already know I'm accepted into USM for Applied Bio, so let me enlighten the other 1/4 who do not know. XD Applied Bio is generally the term used to describe a study of how to apply Biology in life. Applying Biology in technology, agriculture, genetics, machinery, engineering and etc. And that would actually mean that I'm studying a little bit of everything- comprising of biotechnology, biomedicine, horticulture, aquaculture, prosthetic, pharmaceuticals - everything in general. In which I can choose later on to major on something, I guess?

And I feel infinitely blessed to be given a course in something that I HAVE AT LEAST STUDIED ABOUT BEFORE. BWAHAHAHAHAHA. And the reason I say this is because I know too many other friends of mine who obtained courses that had no connection to whatsoever we wasted our time on in Form Six.

An example of that would be Bio stream students getting engineering courses or arts courses and Physics stream students getting bio-related courses.

I wonder if the allocator really did just close his/her eyes whilst randomly selecting students for random courses. That's just called... negligence.

... of course, we're all rather immune to it.

ANYWAY. Yeah. I find myself kinda envying those who have the opportunity to go far and wide; leaving home, seeking independence. Exploring new worlds. Getting lost in foreign cities. Making new friends. Meeting interesting people. Experiencing different cultures. Adapting to a completely different lifestyle. I'm just stuck in Penang for the next 3 years.

Sure, I'll get to meet new people and find new pals. Probably fall in love with a Korean or two. (Somebody said USM reeks of Koreans. *swoons*) Nosebleed over the gorgeous foreign blue-eyed GIRLS. Getting a little lost in USM. Hmmm. I guess it ain't so bad after all...?

I should probably count my blessings as I can still meet my parents and come home anytime I want to. Save money by doing my laundry when I come home for the weekends. Still can go on family vacations and all that. Close to home, close to comfort. And my hostel's amazingly lenient without curfews. At least that won't affect my World Cup fever as the mamak store is just a walk away. WAHAHAHAHA.

And not forgetting, the best thing about being in Penang would be the FOOD. I might as well kiss my university-diet-plan goodbye. WTH.

Another plus factor? Still able to hang out with the remaining monkeys left in Penang. XD

On another note, many people will be flocking far, far away soon. Some of them who'll be carrying with them our 13 years' worth of friendship. But then again, everyone needs to leave each other to walk their own path - after all, life is a journey in itself. Some are actually already planning to have babies with an Aussie. (OMG.)

There are many forks in life that will lead each and every one of us further and further apart from each other. But alike what I once told Vin - the instant we met, we've already been connected in our hearts. And this bond pulls strings in a way that even distance cannot separate.

Parting ways is part and parcel of life - strangely haunting, yet essential to move forward in life.

But saying goodbye is hard, and I abhor it. So let me take this opportune moment to tell all of you; who matter so much in my life, a very energetic "SEE YOU AGAIN!" instead of a mundane and sad 'farewell'. We''re definitely destined to meet again, no?

And so... Ganbatte minna! We're gonna be a bunch of professionals in the near future. WAHAHAHAHA. See you all again in 4 years!

... oh and for those who are feeling lonely already, missing the energetic GAY here - I'll remind you that our sweet memories do not collect dust. And that you too are sorely missed and loved by this hawt gay here. XD

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

A Prayer

Dear God,

We may have only met three times in our short life; yet I feel as if I've known her for a lifetime.
The total length of our conversations together may amount to just 5 minutes; yet I know so much more about her.
We may have known only each others' names; but the depth of our relationship is further than what meets the eye.
Yes, WE are Sisters in Christ.

I pray to you, Lord, that because I barely spent any time with her - that you give me a chance to learn more about her and know her better. I pray to you, Lord, that I too, could be there for her the next time she griefs. I pray to you, Lord, that she'll be healthy and strong.

I pray to you, Lord; that this girl, my Sister - that I hardly ever know - will survive this ordeal and smile again. That she'll continue to smile, and make those around her smile along with her too.

O Lord; guide her, protect her, bless her. Deliver her from this moment; let her persevere.

Amen

"For this shall every one that is godly pray unto thee in a time when thou mayest be found: surely in the floods of great waters they shall not come nigh unto him. Thou [art] my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance."

Summer 2010 To-Watch-List!

I should be packing stuff and preparing to enter university instead of worrying over being unable to catch the awesome new list of summer 2010 (June-July) anime! ARGHHHHHH! Why am I all obsessed over watching fictitious shows when I should be more concerned about more important things in life? Sheesh.

(If I have a chance to minor in a language, I'm DEFINITELY taking Japanese. BWAHAHAHA!)

Anyway... I'll be looking forward to these:
(despite maybe being unable to catch up to them :( )

Seikimatsu Occult Gakuin (Occult Academy)
Horror and school comedy series - a strange mix that may probably be worth the watch, I hope?

Seikimatsu Occult Gakuin

Honestly, I've had a little too much of supernatural happenings in an academy-like city after watching a double dose of To Aru Kagaku no Railgun and now To Aru Majutsu no Index. But to be fair, I shouldn't just rule it out unjustly just because I'm rushing to finish up watching everything I collected. XD

Maya is the daughter of the former Headmaster of a private Japanese academy. Maya's father was very dedicated to the study of the occult but died mysteriously back in 1999. The entire anime revolves around Maya and a Uchida, a mysterious young man who time travels from the past, present and future.

Kuroshitsuji 2 (The Black Butler)
OMG! Does anybody remember my gorgeous Sebastian the demon butler? And the chibi Ciel?

Sebastian and Ciel - Kuroshitsuji Season 1

SEASON 2 ROBS ME OF THE GORGEOUS SEBASTIAN. Something that pains me terribly. :(

Claude and Alois - Kuroshitsuji Season 2

However, the new season revolves around YET another butler and his master, which trails closely to the demon-butler-serves-master concept in Kuroshitsuji 1. The new butler Claude Faustus now serves Alois Trancy - and I must say, Alois Trancy is seriously the eye-candy character to observe. NYAHAHAHAHAHA! Unless there are megane fans out there who might prefer the bespectacled demon butler. XD

Nurarihyon no Mago (Grandchild of Nurarihyon)
Human-demon plot. Me likey! XD

Nurarihyon no Mago

This anime revolves around Rikuo Nura who has a quarter demon blood (youkai) in him. He lives in a house full of spirits with his grandfather. Rikuo is destined to inherit the title of head of Nura youkai clan from his grandfather - despite trying to escape his fate of being a quarter demon.

So basically we have a reluctant part-youkai who's trying to defy his fate as clan leader. And of course anime of this genre will have quite a few antagonists - that present themselves as opposing factions wishing to overthrow Rikuo as head in this anime. Sounds interesting enough, though, no?

Shi Ki (Corpse Demon)
Pretty girls, cute guys and an unpredictable horror/paranormal event - AWESOME! This one is the most highly anticipated among the three for me. Whoo-hoo! I LOVE horror stuff! Let's just hope it doesn't let down like Mouryou no Hako... XD

It gives off an unmistakable Higurashi aura, in which I felt was completely killed by characters who look too cute to give out the horror vibes. Furude Rika is NOT suitable to play such a leading role in the series and that kinda annoys me at times. I actually prefer the Higurashi manga oneshots which centralizes on the misfortune that befalls those who move out of Hinamizawa - what with the Oyashiro-sama's curse.

Eh... to sum it up? I LOVE gruesome and grotesque stuff. BWAHAHAHAHAHA XD

Shi Ki

Saw the preview of Shi Ki and am pretty amazed by the music and the mystery! But the lead character is a woman and so - HMMM. You know I'm not too fond of women as lead characters. Well, hopefully Shi Ki will have a cast of mysterious looking characters who are fit enough to get the mood settings on track!

I'm ALL PUMPED UP AND EXCITED!!! XD XD

In case you're wondering how I'm killing my eyes as of now, I'm watching Seiken no Burakkusumisu (The Sacred Blacksmith), To Aru Majutsu no Index (A Certain Magical Index), Kampfer, Canaan, Durarara, Yumeiro Patissier and 07 Ghost.

I'm also attempting to finish up all the OLDER anime I neglected to watch some years ago, including names like: Rozen Maiden, Soul Link, Prince of Tennis: National Championship, Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles, xxxHolic, Tales of Symphonia, Hayate no Gotoku, Valkyria Chronicles and Tears to Tiara. Most unlikely to finish them all, though. :(

DARN! Shouldn't have bought so many to begin with! SHEESH.

Of course I'm still watching all the other ongoing stuff: Naruto Shippuden, Bleach, Fairy Tail, Hakuoki Shinsengumi Kitan, Senkou no Night Raid, Ichiban Ushiro no Daimaou, Uraboku and even Seikon no Qwaser (Director's Cut). HAHAHAHA! It's IMPERATIVE that I add that 'Director's Cut' so that otakus out there will realise I'm not as hentai as you think I am. BWAHAHAHAHA.

And MANDA darling, you'll be surprised how watchable it actually is compared to the uncensored version. XD

Finished Mouryou no Hako just last week - that anime has more talk than action. GAHHHH. Also done with Umineko no Naku Koro Ni, finally.

And thus, I shall continue on my marathon for as long as I can keep this up. WAHHHHH!! Let me finish at least 60% of them before next week, please? *sniffs*

One Ball and 22 Men = World Sporting Event

Alas, the time has come again for the entire world to get hyped up over the FIFA World Cup that comes once every four years! This time around, I feel that there's too much publicity that irked me to no end (plus the fact that my dad refused to subscribe to the sports package). XD

But... for once in my lifetime: THANK GOD FOR RTM!!!
(without RTM I would have ended up camping at my godbrother's place for a whole MONTH.)

Very few know me as the sports maniac during sports seasons; be it - soccer, tennis, wrestling, badminton, golf, basketball, athletics or American football. NYAHAHAHAHAHA. All thanks to my Dad's tutelage in wrestling and my Papa's wisdom in all the other fields.

ANYWAY, this year I'm all out for GERMANY as in 2006. Hidup Germany!! Whoo-hoo! XD

(... Hidup Malaysia for having sent a referee there too.)

Kudos for Germany's terrific first game against Australia which showed their prowess on the field even with the absence of captain, Michael Ballack (injured). And to think that this is the first time in a very long time that Germany is fielding out relatively young players as the starting line up. Sure, there's the experienced Miroslav Klose, Philip Lahm, Per Mertesacker and all - but promising fresh talent like Mesut Ozil amd Thomas Muller helped Germany to be a refreshing new team.

NYAHHHHHH~!! Germany! *love love*

Oh, and thank you, Joachim Low for believing in Klose and Podolski despite their rather low performance in clubs. They played brilliantly in the World Cup. (and I love Klose. XD)

The group of death for this World Cup was believed to be Group D: Germany, Australia, Ghana and Serbia but I think that Germany should have no problem following through as the top of the group. Serbia conceded defeat to Ghana because of a penalty kick (result of a handball in the box) losing to a mere score of 1-0. The aftermath? Serbia blamed it on the new ball and on the vuvuzelas.

The new ball is different from the old as it is lighter and shaped more aerodynamically. I believe that as professionals, they should not have trouble adapting themselves to the ball. It is believed that the new ball is among the reasons for a goal drought early into the World Cup - but players should get used to it and use it to their advantage. C'mon. You're pros!

But as for the vuvuzelas? Sheesh. Those things uncomfortably sound like swarms of mosquitoes. Eerie. Kills football sometimes because we can't hear the crowd's reaction. And support is kinda crucial to victory. But hate it or love it - they're here to stay.

Anyway, I feel the Group to watch would be Group G: Brazil, North Korea, Ivory Coast and Portugal. Very interesting line-up! Well, I would expect Brazil to go through to the next round since they're favourites, but what can I say? Football is unpredictable after all. They did win 2-1 against North Korea, but Ivory Coast and Portugal ended with a goalless draw.

Naturally, Group H: Spain, Switzerland, Honduras and Chile will be another unpredictable group. Spain's one of the favourites to win... but it's hard to say as the Swiss have a solid defense, Chile is aggresively on the offensive and uh, Honduras...? The unpredictable underdogs, I guess? We'll just have to see...

I felt that England was given the easiest draw in Group C: USA, England, Algeria and Slovenia. But after the blunder that conceded a goal for the USA - England's definitely got to toughen up. England's got hordes and hordes of supporters, so I shan't say anything bad about them even though their performance isn't up to par as it is now. XD Wouldn't wanna get trampled on again now, would we?

(England's got too much publicity and WTH as compared to England; the odds are against Germany to win the World Cup WTH.)

AHEM. Pardon me. Of course, before I forget, Argentina will be a team to watch as well in this World Cup. Football legend Diego Maradona and his 'Hand of God' - we'll see if he's capable of leading Argentina to World Cup glory. They have World Player of the Year, Lionel Messi along with the likes of Angel di Maria and Sergio Aguero. I feel that much of the team's expectations lie heavily on Messi and to fulfill that - it's going to be a heavy burden on him. But all in all, his performance so far has been up to par. Kudos, Messi!

So... after all that is said and done - care to join me for a slice of Group H tonight? =)

Of Fairy Tail and Bleach

Whee-hoo!! My passion for anime is peaking as I blog right now... no thanks to BLEACH. XD True enough that my pace for BLEACH-watching is almost verging on miraculous (caught up to episode 274 now from episode 145 in 5 days... WOW! XD) but it was the show FAIRY TAIL that built a completely different level of exhilaration as compared to BLEACH.

Fairy Tail!
Love this show! Love the stripping Gray! XD XD

Bleach may have an interesting plot what with Aizen's betrayal, Urahara's past in Soul Society, the Zanpakutou rebellion arcs and all... but it would have been MUCH, MUCH better if the entire series did not drag out all the scenes. There are too many fillers, too little action, too much talking, too much exaggeration and the time line for battles just don't fall into place.

(And if you watch Bleach online like me, you can't quite post up comments like these or risk getting trampled by Bleach-lovers who'll curse you and make it sound as if you should rot in hell. There's no freedom of speech there, sadly.)

If you were to just randomly pay more attention to the fighting scenes especially that in Hueco Mundo and the Karakura Town showdown between the Espada(s) and the 13 Protection Squads - EACH EPISODE will boil down to this:
1 1/2 minutes - Opening song
5 minutes - Recap of previous episode
5 minutes - Exaggerating/boasting about one's powers and reiatsu
5 minutes - Interaction with the enemy/bragging rights
2 minutes - Still frames/Exaggeration of damage dealt and received yet none too fatal
3 minutes - Pure thrill/action
1 1/2 minutes - Ending song
GRAND TOTAL: 23 minutes

... which actually means that I only enjoy 3 minutes of action. WOW. So much for a Shonen/Action show, huh? I relatively prefer the 'past' arcs than these present fighting arcs. At least the plot is thick, relevant and engaging. Sheesh.

And if anyone is wondering why I'm watching BLEACH again after stopping for 3 years? HAHAHAHA! It's to abate my love for Ichimaru Gin!!! NYAHHHHHH~!! Gin-chan!! It's been 3 years!!! *nosebleeds*

Ichimaru Gin!! *nosebleeds*
As gorgeous as ever in white... *swoons*

AHEM.

Well... as for Fairy Tail. I don't quite know whether it's because I watched a hefty amount of BLEACH before I watched Fairy Tail that made me feel so refreshed at the sudden change of pace. You see, Fairy Tail is very fast-paced, action-packed and exciting! A tale of adventure, courage, friendship and love! PURE SHONEN THRILLLLLLL!!! XD

Fairy Tail revolves around a fictitious world that has many, many guilds consisting of magic users. And Fairy Tail happens to be the name of one of the most influential guild in that world. We follow the adventures of Lucy, the celestial wizard and Natsu, the fire wizard who is looking for a dragon named Igneel.

I watched Fairy Tail, immersing myself in the laughable adventures of Natsu and Lucy - UNTIL A DOG NAMED PLUE SUDDENLY EMERGED OUT OF NOWHERE.

Plue from Fairy Tail

Plue from Rave...
(The only difference is that their paws are of different colour. XP)

Wait, now. Was I watching Fairy Tail or a remake of RAVE...?!?!

RAVE Master: Groove Adventure
I enjoyed this show a whole lot last time! XD

Poked my nose around a little and found out that Fairy Tail's mangaka is Hiro Mashima = same mangaka as Rave Master. Ahhhhhh! No wonder the similarities! XD

It's been a LONG, LONG time since I last watched something as fun as this. Rave fans out there - remember Haru and his gigantic sword? (I for one definitely remember Musica. XD) Coincidentally Haru's name means Spring in Japanese and Natsu's name means Summer. WHOA!! I guess Mr. Hiro Mashima really loves nature... XD

What's more intriguing is this character Kageyama from the dark guild Eisenwald.

Kageyama from Eisenwald in Fairy Tail

... don't you think he bears a startling resemblance to none other than SHIKAMARU NARA from Naruto?!?!?!

Nara Shikamaru from Naruto

And to think that the both of them actually commands Kage (shadows). OMG! XD

I also finished Tatakau Shisho: The Book of Bantorra and I'll say this: THIS ANIME IS AWESOME!!! (No different from my last post when I wrote about it... HAHAHAHA) It is unpredictably AWESOME! Fantastic plot! Cool fighting scenes! A fair dose of love! HOT BOOBS!!

Unlike some anime where their lead hero/heroine is rather IMMORTAL, even after Bankai-ing for about a thousand times and bleeding from head to toe - this anime, Tatakau Shisho - is amazingly believable. WOW! It's the first time I'm really all psyched up on an action anime where the main character is female. And I've already finished it quite a few days ago. Watch it if you can! It's different and engaging.

And thus, I shall continue Fairy Tail-ing right now. Whee-hoo!! I'm all for Hiro Mashima's works! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Bankrupt in Nine Years

I read with much concern Minister Idris Jala’s prediction that Malaysia will be bankrupt in nine years time. And soon, citizens may have to face a serious reduction in subsidies by the government.

At the rate that our nation is going, many are not surprised that we’ll stumble and fall way before our predicted expiry of nine years and collapse in five years instead. Why the skepticism?

Is it because of the infamous Malaysian ‘tidak apa’ attitude? Is it because of our poor financial management? Or is it wastage of funds by building white elephants? Is it misuse by those in power? Or is it the lack of transparency?

We taxpayers demand for an honest answer followed by substantial proof that the government is truly doing all that it can before choosing the last option of reducing subsidies for the public.

How can the government run out of money? How is it that the rich get richer here while the average class and the poor suffer in silence? Once fuel subsidy is reduced, there will be a significant rise in the prices of essential products. How are the average class and the poor going to cope with this drastic increase when they are barely meeting minimum necessities as it is now?

Not to mention, we still have to pay toll and new taxes – what with news of wanting to implement GST. The cost of living keeps increasing in Malaysia as well as everything else – except our pay. Citizens can’t even cut fuel expenses by opting to use public transportation. It is shameful to admit that after so many years, our public transportation standards are mediocre, at best!

One may argue that Malaysians pay less than some of our neighbouring countries for fuel. But we are exporters of oil while other countries like Singapore and Thailand are fuel importers! We should compare our figures fairly with countries like Brunei, a fuel exporter country, to see if we can have their stats at all!

Some observers are even comparing the state of our economy to Greece!

I believe that without the political tsunami in 2008, we citizens would still be in the dark as to our country’s deficits.

We citizens need to change with times and be brave enough to voice out what we need to say. In a democratic nation, public opinions should reach the government through and through. And the government should be leading a reformation of the nation that will benefit the people they serve. Sadly, the Malaysian lackadaisical attitude is what’s to blame for making us immune to bad governance after so many years.

Our government needs a clear foresight on what to do to bring about a holistic change for the betterment of our beloved nation. Irrationality and injustice affects not just the county’s image and progress but also hinders nationalism. Innovate yet remain relevant to your cause.

Be it a state led by BN or PR: PLEASE. Let us regain our trust in your governance that we may pull through our endeavours TOGETHER as a nation.

Anime Feast Marathon!! Whoo-hoo!!

THIS POST REEKS OF SPOILERS.
You have been warned! XD

In case anybody’s wondering…? My gaming streak is lying low for the moment - thanks to a very HIGH level of difficulty for my final few remaining odyssey characters for Dissidia. BWAHAHAHAHA. Both Bartz and Onion Knight’s level of difficulty is 4/5 while Terra and the Warrior of Light is 5/5?!?!?! FUHHHH. I’m sweating just thinking about it. XD

Yup, Manda, in case you’re reading this: I’M ACTUALLY DONE WITH THE REST – Firion, Cecil, Cloud, Squall, Zidane and Tidus! Whoo-hoo!! Talk about a gaming marathon!! Whee~!! And my favourite character to use so far would be ZIDANE TRIBAL!!!

I LOVE YOU ZIDANEEEEEE~!! You’re unparalleled in midair combat!! I love you loads cause you’re so EASY to use in places where there is insufficient footing!! (which covers 3/4 of the battle venues in Dissidia..) LOVE~!! LOVE~!! *foolish fangirl shrieks*

Ahem.

(And I hate using you two: Squall, Cloud. Boo to you. Especially Squall. You’re completely lousy in midair. XD)

Ahem. Sorry, I digress.

Anyway, right now I find myself downright IMMERSED in a very random anime fever once again… BWAHAHAHAHA!! I guess there are quite a few mentionable titles to watch right now after the ‘hentai’ phase is over. Whoo-hoo!!

And this is a list of titles I recently watched and felt compelled to give it some credit for originality, plot and… BISHIES~!! NYAHHHHH~!! *nosebleeds*

By the way, I somewhat realized that some mangakas are really creative with names! They don’t come out with REGULAR JAPANESE NAMES anymore for their characters, no? Instead, they have these very FANCY FOREIGN names that are getting harder and harder for us fans to pronounce. Sheesh. Examples? Erm… Lag Seeing! Largo Lloyd! Zazie! Hamyuts Meseta! … just to name a few. XD

ANYWAY.
1. Tegami Bachi

FIRST AND FOREMOST: SILVER-HAIRED BISHIE ALERT. *nosebleeds*
(And I darn well ain’t talking about the 12-yr-old who hasn’t reached puberty.)

Tegami Bachi
From left: Niche, Connor, Lag and the ever-AWESOME Zazie!! (Zazie's always got the coolest entrance among the rest of them. XD)

OKAY. So this anime ain’t that new at all actually. XD I first watched the first episode some FIVE months ago but that time I was all caught up in my Eyeshield 21 Hiruma Yoichi fever that I paid almost no attention at all to this anime. Ahahahaha. I’m sorry.

(Why in the world did I just apologise?!?!)

Anyway, watched the first episode all over again TODAY and fell head over heels for none other than… (silver haired bishie alert!!) GAUCHE SUEDE!!! OMG!!

The awesome Gauche Suede!

Loved him the instant he appeared – and that’s no surprise because his seiyuu is none other than the awesome: JUN FUKUYAMA. *swoons* Lelouch Lamperouge! Keiichi Shimizu!! Toshitsugu Fujiwara!! Kei Takishima!! Vincent Nightray!! Shinra Kishitani!! And now… GAUCHE SUEDE~!! *swoons*

… I love Jun Fukuyama ALMOST as much as I love Kenichi Suzumura and Mamoru Miyano… ahhhhhh…. *swoons*

.... *swoons some more*

I apologise for my random fangirl ramblings. XD AHEM.

Anyway, this anime is commendable and watchable if you have the patience to sit back and relax while watching crybaby Lag Seeing wail and cry throughout 9/10 parts of the show. YEAH. He cries at EVERY single episode except for episode 21 (was it?) where this blind researcher told him about her past memories with Gauche in a flashback.

Lag Seeing's crybaby wails really ticks me off...

The plot’s really awesome, about Tegami Bachi(s) or Letter Bees that deliver letters all over the world for a hefty price – because every delivery puts their life on the line. Gaichuus (monsters) are attracted to the HEART in humans and letters and therefore hunt any Bees that come close to their lairs. The show starts off with Lag as Gauche’s letter. During the delivery, the relationship between Lag and Gauche became more than just friends. Lag determines to be a Bee just as well as Gauche was.

Five years later, when Lag becomes a full-fledged Bee, he finds out that Gauche, his idol and role model - has been sacked from being a Tegami Bachi. Gauche disappeared mysteriously!!!

I miss you, Gauche! I really do!! *wails alike Lag*

AHEM. CGI effects for the Gaichuus, however… HMMMMM. It kinda reminds me of DRUAGA from The Tower of Druaga. Very mecha-ish. GAH. Not that I’m complaining. CGI graphics are good for games!! XDD

And the plot thickens and darkens until – WHAM!! Episode 25 of Season 1 ended – JUST LIKE THAT?!?!

WHAT A CLIFFHANGER!!! The ANTICIPATION! The WAIT!! Do you all know how agonizing that is?!?!?! ARGHHHHH!! And just when Gauche finally reappears?? ARGHHHHH!!

(Thank goodness the second season commences this fall. I would have killed if they made me wait any longer. XD)

And so to state the obvious: I ACTUALLY FINISHED THE WHOLE SERIES IN ONE DAY AND HAD ENOUGH TIME TO BLOG ABOUT IT. Muahahahahaha~

Overall review? Probably an 8/10. Fillers and the incessant crying scenes made me feel like killing Lag sometimes.

2. Asura Cryin’

The cast of Asura Cryin'

FOR GOODNESS SAKE, I JUST MENTIONED THAT I WOULD KILL LAG IF HE CRIED SOME MORE AND THIS ANIME’S TITLE IS ASURA CRYIN’?!?!?! Just kidding! XD This anime has nothing to do with sobbing crybabies and is a pretty good anime with a solid plot, too!

Tomoharu Natsume received a bag from his far, far away brother. Little does he know that the bag actually contains secrets of the world that may change or jeopardize the world. The trunk contains Asura Machina – thus Tomo became the Handler of the Kurogane after sacrificing his best friend Misao as a Burial Doll. Tomo also finds himself smacked in the middle of a war of balance between the Holy Guards and Demons.

Slightly mecha-ish element.
I hope to do better with this show than I ever had with any other mecha titles: RahXephon, Gundam XD

YES… the story is as complicating as how complicated it sounds above. XD Slightly mecha-ish, and I USUALLY find myself hopeless when I watch most mecha stuff – but I’m surprised how well I’m taking this in!! HAHAHAHAHA!! Probably it’s because I’m only at the 5th episode, but still…

… it’s interesting. Worth your time, at least. No eye-candy bishies... but a whole lot of boobies for those who’re interested. XD

...

I can’t believe I just said that. BWAHAHAHAHA

Overall? Can’t quite rate it fairly yet because I’ve only made 5 episodes into the show. Probably a 6/10, I guess so far?

You know what? Having bishies would really make a difference to the show. XD

3. Hakuoki Shinsengumi Kitan

Bishie feast!!! YAY!!! It's been a LONG time since such a show!

… I just mentioned bishies, and this show is somewhat OVERLOADED with them. OMG!!! *fangirl squeals* Bishie galore!! Whee~!!

This show comes to me as AWKWARD because I started it right after I finished 201 episodes of Gintama. There’s a parody of Shinsengumi in Gintama but if you were to compare Gintama’s Shinsengumi to Hakuoki’s Shinengumi – you’ll find that there’s barely a similarity to their personalities despite their same names. XD

Hijikata in Hakuoki

VS.
Hijikata (black) in Gintama

= a world of difference! XD

Kondou, Hijikata, my darling Okita Sougo (*nosebleeds*) and even Yamazaki the spy are featured in both versions of Shinsengumi. Although; I MUST add that somehow - I love Gintama’s Shinsengumi much, much more than the bishie-studded Hakuoki’s Shinsengumi! Hakuoki is really serious and relevant rather than the obscenely CRAZY Gintama! And myself, as a person with no common sense (or so I tell Hime-chan and Ama) I really learnt to appreciate Gintama’s psychotic-light-humour. XD

NOTE THAT I AM IN FAVOUR OF GINTAMA’S SOUGO OKITA ONLY AND NOT HAKUOKI’S. (No way I’m gonna like a TB- infected dude, man! XD)

By the way, for those who didn’t know… Shinsengumi really DID exist in Japanese history. Ahahaha. I’ve been studying a whole lot of Japanese culture, myths and history lately so yeah; I’m pretty amazed how related anime is to its culture!

(For example: Uchiha Itachi from Naruto Shippuden is a formidable opponent with three main skills. His genjutsu: Tsukiyomi, his in-extinguishable black flames: Amaterasu and his weapon and shield: Susanoo. Tsukiyomi, Amaterasu and Susanoo are actually names of Japanese mythical gods! WOW! There’s a whole lot of myth and history to it… so read it up if you’re interested. I’m lazy to elaborate on the relationship between these three sibling gods. XD)

So yeah… Hakuoki’s based on a spin-off real Japanese history. Watchable, but to put a GIRL as the main character kinda annoys me at times. XD I’m sorry, but I prefer gays.

Overall? A 6/10, I guess. So far it has been released until episode 8 only and so that’s where I am now. XD

4. Tatakau Shisho: The Book of Bantorra

Tatakau Shishou: The Book of Bantorra

THIS ANIME IS AWESOME!! XD Weird names, though. That’s where all these hard-to-pronounce character names pop out. Hamyuts Meseta! Mattalast Ballory! Mirepoc! Volken! Noloty! Colio!! Shindeki Church! OMG, seriously. XD

Set in medieval times, lies a world where deceased people turn into books. These books are placed in Bantorra, where people can read them by touching these stone-like books and learn about the past of the deceased. Bantorra is maintained by Armed Librarians who yield supernatural powers. Bantorra’s arch-enemy, the Shindeki Church, is a cult that strongly believes that Books should ascend to heaven instead of being kept in Bantorra.

The series is divided into arcs in which each of them portrays human greed, sorrow, happiness, hope and despair. And with each arc – secret after secret is slowly being revealed.

It came to me as hard to understand at first but as the story progresses – it’s just amazing to see how relevant this anime is in portraying the ever-changing human heart! Enemies become allies and allies become enemies, making this entire series unpredictably entertaining. And did I mention that the fighting scenes are AWESOME?!?! XD

No bishies once again, but there are HUGE boobies to feast on. BWAHAHAHAHA!!

...

(I said something unthinkable again, didn’t I? XP)

Overall? Short, sweet and action-packed. Probably an 8/10. Whee-hoo!!

GAHHHHHH. I feel like a pro anime watcher and a pro gamer after writing this post. Gotta finish everything I wanna watch before next month!! =( Exactly 1 month and 2 days from now I’ll be fretting over lectures and tutorials like a psycho, man. Sheesh.

My only regret with my time management? … I wished I had finished more anime and games in the earlier months before! What was I doing?!?! Sheesh!! Now I’m rushing like a psycho to finish Xenosaga III that I abandoned some years ago. Together with all the remaining Final Fantasy(s)!! Good thing I read Apek’s post about time management – now I can finish an entire series in a day!! Whoo-hoo!! Wait for me, Uraboku! Shugo Chara! BLEACH!

Thanks Apek! I’m not about to go off studying regretting what I could have done during my holidays. XD

Renewed Faith

Even I - was once naive. XD

You know, when I was young, I never failed to ask myself why God created Hell if He truly loved us that much. I thought, SURELY, if He did love us, He wouldn't have wanted us to suffer in the eternal depths of Hell. Just last night, I attended a very enlightening talk in church... and it suddenly seemed to me that God; in His own very special way - answered my naive thoughts through Mr. Tony Anthony's testimony.

And just by something as simple as that - I feel myself recommitting myself to My Lord all over again - PRAISE the Lord!

Allow me to share with you blog readers what Mr. Anthony had shared with us that night. Perhaps this situation would paint a clearer picture?

Let us assume that we are in a courthouse where a murderer has killed a special someone to Mr. A. The murderer pleaded guilty for the charges pressed against him. We do not expect the Judge to say, "Oh, Mr. Murderer, just because I'm a loving judge, I shall sentence you to three years in prison instead of the life sentence!" How would Mr. A and his loved ones feel if the Judge were to react this way? So to say, the Lord is just, in His own ways.

It all boils down to this: Heaven and Hell were created to uphold justice. Heaven is for those with a perfect record. But as mortal human beings, every each and one of us has sinned. So are we all - every single one of us - doomed to fall into Hell as we should?

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, so that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life."
John 3:16

But the miracle is this: we are loved so much that we DO have a chance to ascend to Heaven!

Jesus so loves the world that he died for us, so we could be free of our sins. He replaced them with His own perfect record - and thus, we can have eternal life with Him in Heaven. All these great things await us - all we have to do is to surrender our hearts to Him, and let His love fill whatever emptiness that we may have. All we need to do is to be willing to believe.

"Fear not; believe only and (she) shall be made whole."
Luke 8:50

Thank You for loving us so much that You are willing to save us by giving up Your life for ours. I believe now, so much stronger than before; and I hope that You, Lord, would guide me continuously in every single endeavor of mine - and let me walk with You until the day I am no more. Not just only until the day I breathe my last; but for eternity.

"I am a light into the world, that whosoever believes in me should not abide in darkness."
John 12:46

My 5 "Final Fantasy(s)-Did-You-Know"s Discovery!

Yes, thanks to Manda again, I'm on a Dissidia gaming streak!! Was initially inspired by YouTube's videos on the Ad-Hoc battles played by the pros - but lets face it, PLAYING it is harder than it seems. GAHAHAHAHAHA. Do check out this guy's awesome battles on YouTube. Can this pro ever lose a single battle? He's amazing!!

(On another note: IT'S HARD TO PLAY FIRION ON A LOW LEVEL. All he's got are long range attacks which makes him frighteningly susceptible to close combat. :( I need to learn up and get used to Firion.) Yes, Manda darling - I'm past Cecil and his gay brother Golbez. XD I could choose to play Tidus or Firion now and I chose Firion. Whee~!

You know what? Firion looks amazing in Dissidia compared to anywhere else. Whee~!!

Firion in the PS version - Final Fantasy 2

Firion in the PSP version - Final Fantasy Dissidia

WOW!! XD Anyway, back to my little discoveries... (Thanks, Final Fantasy Wiki for amazing info! XD)

#1: Yiazmat (FF12)

Did you know that Yiazmat has the highest HP of any creature, monster or boss in the entire Final Fantasy series to date with over 50 million HP? WOW! Yiazmat is considered THE superboss of FF12 and is a mere level 73 as compared to the other higher leveled superbosses in other FFs - most of them at level 99. :O
(example: Minerva - lvl 99, Crisis Core; Iron Giant - lvl 81, FF3; Omega Weapon(s) -lvl 99, FF1,5,6,8 and etc)

(I actually feel even more proud of myself right now for the simple reason of having the patience to defeat this dude. BWAHAHAHAHAHA.)

A battle with Yiazmat. He fills up the entire screen. XD

And to think that the name Yiazmat actually came from Yazumi Matsuno; the director, Yasumi Matsuno's nickname. WOW! The title of the hunt "Farewell to a Legend", refers to how Matsuno left the company before the game was completed. The story that Montblanc tells Vaan actually refers to how the development team felt about him leaving the company. How interesting!

#2 Pandemonium Warden (FF11)

The Pandemonium Warden was among the toughest superboss to defeat when FF11 was first introduced. WOW! A party of 18 members ganged up and marathon fighting the Pandemonium Warden for 18 hours but failed to defeat this boss! OMG! The marathon attempt halted after members of the party started to become physically ill, (and I don't mean in the virtual world...) fainting and vomiting as a result of prolonged and excessive period of gaming. WHOA!

This incident led to a change and the monster was patched to have a spawn time of 2 hours only, and its overall difficulty was decreased significantly. AMAZING!

#3 Final Fantasy 7

I suppose that there is no surprise that Final Fantasy 7 is the most popular and best-selling Final Fantasy game of all time, with its wide range of merchandise and its compilation series! I didn't quite know about the Compilation of Final Fantasy 7 until this week. HAHAHAHA. Its amazing how one game can branch out so massively - resulting in such an epic storyline. Zack, you do me proud! :) (Note that I mentioned ZACK and not Cloud. XD)

The chronology of the series goes like this:
Before Crisis - FF7: This game platforms on mobile phones and is not released outside of Japan, so basically - IT'S something that we can never get to play. *sobs and whines* A dark story six years before the events in FF7 - tells the tale of the Turks vs a far more sinister AVALANCHE than Barret has ever been in. XP They ACTUALLY get to play the Turks!! OMG!!!

I'm missing Reno more and more for some unexplainable reason.

Crisis Core - FF7: Platforms on the PSP. The history between Sephiroth, Angeal and Genesis with Zack as the awesome main character and Cloud as the useless burden. (Sorry, Cloud fans. I CANNOT stand emo ppl like Cloud and Squall. Can't characters be more jubilant like Tidus and Onion Knight? Or pretty like Terra?)

You know what? I just realised that if I had started the game off in Hard Mode initially, Zack would not have lived long enough to see the end of the game. Crisis Core's first playthrough in Hard Mode is EXTREMELY DIFFICULT even for the pros. Enemy's HP and stats are about 4-5X harder than it is on Normal Mode. Which is why even most pro gamers can't make it through 100% completion on Missions in Hard Mode.

But once you finish the game and play Hard Mode on 2nd playthrough? CONSIDERABLY EASIER. What I'm attempting right now to no avail yet. :( It depresses me!! Enemies stats are only boosted by 1.5-3X compared to Normal Mode but still... :( *mourns*

Final Fantasy VII : Platforms on PC and PS1.

Advent Children Complete - FF7: Movie. Takes place 2 years after FF7 and tells of the conditions in the world after Meteor Fall. I like the animation on this one. Do you know that there's a special edition Advent Children from the eyes of Denzel? The boy suffering from Geostigma? I think it's titled, "On the Way to A Smile: Episode Denzel". Whee~!

Dirge of Cerberus: Platforms on PS2. We play as Vincent Valentine 3 years after FF7 whilst unveiling Vincent's secret ties with Lucrecia and Hojo. Unknown to people who played this before Crisis Core - there is a secret ending that features the return of Genesis. OMG!!

Dirge of Cerberus - Lost Episode: Platforms on the mobile phone. We don't get to play this either!!!! *sobs and wails again* Vincent makes his way to Nibelheim while fighting Deepground soldiers who are after his body for the Protomateria.

#4 Bahamut

How should I put this...? Well, Bahamut is kind of like the most repeated name in the Final Fantasy series~ XD

The name Bahamut a.k.a. The Dragon King has been featured throughout Final Fantasy 1 to Final Fantasy 13 with the exception of Final Fantasy 2. Bahamut appears as a Summon, a Ship, a Card, an Avatar... AMAZING!! In fact, Bahamut is so popular - he's even got his own GAME: Bahamut Lagoon. XD That game platforms on Famicon.

FF8's version of Bahamut.

#5 IGN's Top 5 Characters of all Time! (Source:
IGN)

Surprises in store! :)

5th place: MOOGLES. Now, isn't that surprising? XD I prefer Chocobos to Moogles but... what the heck. They're not even the main characters and MOOGLES are at No. 5???!! Probably their publicity is just as good as Gintama's Elizabeth. HAHAHAHAHA. (Now, that was random. XD)

4th place: KAIN HIGHWIND. It's just so sad that Cecil lost to his alter ego in the rankings, man. Oh yeah, did you know that Kain was the first person to curse in the Final Fantasy series? HAHAHAHA! He said 'bastard'. XD Highwind kinda reminds me of... er.. oh yeah. Cid Highwind or something in FF7, no?

3rd place: CLOUD STRIFE. I hate him. (Sorry again, Cloud fans.) He doesn't quite deserve 3rd place, if you'd ask me. C'mon! Before FF7, he's just an INFANTRYMAN, he's not even in Soldier! Those aren't Mako infused-eyes of a SOLDIER he has! Those are S Cells implantations! Sephiroth's!! The cool sword ISN'T EVEN HIS!!! Buster Sword belongs to Angeal!! GAHHHHHHHH!! And he was nothing but a burden that caused the death of a FAR MORE WORTHY hero, Zack Fair!! *whines and complains endlessly* Sorry Cloud, you're not getting any praise out of me for being there at No. 3.

2nd place: VIVI ORUNITIA.

...

Wait, am I reading this correctly...? THE VIVI?!?!?! The CUTE, JUMP-ROPING VIVI?!?!?! Geez... I'm HAPPY to see he beat Cloud Strife, but yeah, I'm kinda speechless to see him so high up in the rankings. OMG.

Vivi, everyone. For those who forgot. XD

And for 1st place:

. . .

SEPHIROTH. *I'm smiling from ear to ear.*

Really, did you expect anyone else apart from him? *evil cackles* Pretty obvious, no? *BWAHAHAHAHA.* It's almost certain that nobody else can beat the most GORGEOUS LOOKING, BAD-ASS VILLIAN ever created in the Final Fantasy series!! *smiling to myself* And the fact that I can't stop smiling tells everyone that I'm THOROUGHLY PLEASED with this Number ONE. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!

Here are rankings of some of the notable characters I quite enjoy watching in Final Fantasy:
#6 Kefka Palazzo (mentioned specially for you, Manda!) The remembered evil clown we all love.
#7 Aerith Gainsbrough (mentioned specially for my DARLING Zack Fair.)
#9 Balthier ("You know what they say about the leading man. He never dies." *swoons*)
#20 Reno (A light in the darkness that looms about FF7's storyline.)
#24 Ultros - FF6. Watch the following picture and you'll get the big picture. XD

YEAH. The awesome-ness of the purple octopus that brings humour to a tense battle. XD

You know what? ZACK'S NOT UP IN TOP 25!!!!! *mourns like a psychopath* HOW COULD THIS BE?!?!?!?!

... Ahem.

I'm surprised Squall didn't make it to top 25! Sounds sad, no, Pat? XD Even Selphie did make it. OMG. Tidus didn't make it too, but Lulu's up and rolling in top 15. Not to mention, even Wakka's somewhere there in the 20s. (Interesting coupling, no?) I like Tidus! He deserves No.3 spot better than Cloud. XD I'm sad that Firion, Cecil and Onion Knight didn't make it too. :( Or Ultimecia and Kuja. (Even Steiner got up there, man. Geez.)

But Sephiroth's up in Number One and that abates all troubles! WAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! *evil cackles*

Now that was a very random blog post, and a very long one too. XP So with that - concludes a very long post! Whee~!! Off to play Firion now!

Donnie Yen Marathon!!! WHOO-HOOO!!!

I dunno what's up with me and my crazy Donnie Yen movie marathon but I suddenly ended up snooping around on his background. XD OMG!

Probably I've watched a little TOO much Donnie Yen for the past week? Titles include: Mismatched Couples (1985), Once Upon a Time in China 2 (1992), Wing Chun (1994), Shanghai Knights (2003), Seven Swords (2005), Stormbreaker (2006), Dragon Tiger Gate (2006), An Empress and the Warriors (2008), Painted Skin (2008), Ip Man (2008), Bodyguards and Assasins (2009), 14 Blades (2009) and Ip Man 2 (2010).

HAHAHAHAHA. I think I know why I'm all psycho right now. XD

ANYWAY. Donnie Yen has an amazing background! He was born in China, but went to Hong Kong at the age of two. He then moved to Boston at the age of eleven. His mother who was a famous Wushu and Tai Chi master (something I'll never become... XD) taught Donnie martial arts the moment he could walk. WOW, just wow!!

His father plays the violin and the Chinese Erh-Wu while his mother would sing soprano. Donnie Yen studied classical piano; favouring Chopin much. WHOAAAA!!!

You know what's amazing? Donnie Yen's like a little martial arts prodigy!! He would rebel and skip school just so he could catch a kung-fu movie marathon. But unlike most of us, he could walk out of the cinema and repeat the EXACT same moves as shown right after the movie. FUYOH!

Donnie Yen was an actor, a musician, a dancer, martial artist, action choreographer, film director and a film producer. With looks like THIS, he would have easily passed as a model too, I think. WHOA!!! WOW!!! *nosebleeds*

OMG.

OMG, OMG!!!! What's with the pose?!?! OMG.

*nosebleeds* WHAT THE HECK?!?!?! Look at those gorgeous abs!!!! OMG!!!

OMG!!! Donnie Yen!! *swoons*

What's he - a swimsuit model?!?! OMG. OMG.

OMG. OMG. *nosebleeds and faints*

Ahem. Let me recollect myself...

Gather yourself, you gorgeous gay, Beckz!! Wake up and notice the ring on his fourth finger!!! GAHHHH!!

And when I thought I was gonna go all depressed to find out he was MARRIED WITH KIDS, I saw his WIFE and immediately started nosebleeding all over again. OMG. You'll see soon enough why I utterly envy Donnie Yen's life.

MORE OMGs.

*NOSEBLEEDS and lies DEAD in a puddle of blood*

OMG!!! She's hawt!! And I really mean it, HAWTTTT!!

*swoons and dies*

OMG!! She's really pretty!!! So pretty that Donnie looks like he's in the shadows or something. OMG!!!

*completely collapses - am now lying flat on the floor eagle-spread*

GOSH, I don't quite know how to put this. To sum it up: They are ONE HOT sexy couple. OMG.

And look how cute and humble he can be with his two kids. AWWWWW!!!

*swoons* CUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUTE!!!

OMG!!! Donnie Yen!!! I'll be a fan of you (and your wife) for a long, long time!! OMGGGGGGG!!!

I LOVE YOU!! I LOVE YOU ALL!!! I LOVE MR. OWWWWWW!!!

*goes running and shrieking into a mental asylum*

I owe a million thanks to Donnie Yen's official website for everything that's in this post today.
