AHHHHHHHH!!! Who would have thought that I could get all hyped up over Naruto this time??
I've been reading the manga recently, and eventhough I'm HORRIBLY annoyed with the unbecoming character of its, uh... characters. (Espeically Sakura who seems to be less and less helpful; what more, playing such a diminishing role throughout the course of this series.)
I'm got loads to say and comment even though I'm hardly very obsessed about anyone in Naruto right now. (unlike my recent RE-addiction to Asch von Fabre / Asch the Bloody of TotA *nosebleeds at the mere thought*) Everyone seems to be growing up rather... uh, gay-ish-ly.
BWAHAHAHAHAHA suits me well, yup??
...... anyway.
Warning to all ye people out there: this post contains MAJOR SPOILERS on Naruto/ Naruto Shippuden and Naruto the manga (up to Chapter 455 at least?) so SKIP it at all costs if you wish to rescue yourself from my utter ramblings.
NO REGRETS READING THIS AND
THEN BLAMING ME IN THE END, YUP.
I don't know how many of my pals out there are fans of Naruto, but I surely am. The storyline is just amazingly out-of-this-world that even I'm still sitting at the edge of my seat even after having to watch up til episode 330 (for now)! Absurd, I know, but true. Naruto can be very thought-provoking at times~
I still remember when Naruto started out as an annoying brat in the Konohagakure (Konoha village) whom everyone despised and looked down upon. He was shunned by the society, and he was only naughty to gain attention of the very same villagers who hated him so. Never knowing maternal or paternal love from young, the only care and attention he ever got was from a sensei by the name of Umino Iruka.
One fateful day, Iruka caught Mizuki (another ninja of Iruka's rank) attempting to steal a secret scroll from the Konoha archives. Mizuki was planning to frame Naruto for it! Somehow, when Iruka entangled himself between the fine boundaries of life and death, Naruto mastered the art of the scroll, the Kagebunshin no Jutsu, and rescued Iruka with it. Naruto was then awarded a pass by Iruka and was rightfully ranked a genin.
It was then that Naruto learnt that he was despised because he was a Jinchuuriki, a host to one of the legendary demons, the Nine-Tailed Beast, Kyuubi. The 4th Hokage had sacrificed his own life to seal this beast into Naruto in order to save the village he fought for and loved.
Starting out as a member of Team 7 together with Sakura Haruno and Sasuke Uchiha, the three were led and taught by the renowned Jounin, Kakashi Hatake, the Copy-Nin.
The three grew together not only in physique and skills but also came to accept one another as comrades and friends. The three were selected by Kakashi to join the Chuunin Examinations that would determine whether they could go up one rank to bear the title Chuunin.
Little did anyone expect that Orochimaru, one of the three legendary Sannins of Konoha, was dubiously planning a surprise attack during this examination. His ultimate goal was Sasuke, for the Uchiha clan possessed a bloodline limit called the Sharingan. Orochimaru strives for immortality, in which his soul would occupy bodies of others while being able to use both his jutsu and the vessel's. And the powerful Sharingan was his target.
Orochimaru placed a Cursed Seal on Sasuke, and beckoned Sasuke to him. Orochimaru then aliased with Sunagakure to destroy Konoha. Sabaku no Gaara, a Jinchuuriki for the One-Tailed Beast, Shuuhaku, was a mere pawn in completing Orochimaru's evil plans. The havoc in Konoha, followed by a one-on-one show down battle between Orochimaru and the Third Hokage ended in the death of Konoha's Kage.
Jiraiya, one of the three Sannins, was chosen to be the next village Hokage. However, he pushed the job on to Lady Tsunade, the third of the legendary Sannins. Jiraiya had a task that he needed to fulfill. One that would take him around the world collecting information.
but their future each lie in three completely separate pathways.
During this time, Sasuke, filled with jealousy and the need for revenge against his brother, decided to follow Orochimaru. He wanted nothing more but to kill his own flesh and blood who was rumoured to have killed his entire Uchiha clan several years ago. He went after Orochimaru, seeking for greater power and no words from his former comrades, Naruto and Sakura, would get to him.
Naruto then went to train with Jiraiya for 2 and a half years. It was during his trip with Jiraiya that he learnt about a secret organisation called the Akatsuki. Akatsuki was hunting down Jinchuurikis to obtain the power of all the Tailed Beasts in order to create the world's most feared weapon of war. Naruto and Gaara were not spared from the hunt.
Shippuden really shows how its characters mature with time as the series slowly lost the humour that it had in the first season. The plot is fantastic; juggling the events between Orochimaru, Sasuke, the Akatsuki and Konoha. Some things remained the same though. For example, Naruto stays as stupidly annoying as ever, having promised Sakura he would bring back Sasuke. (which actually feels as gay as it sounds.) Kakashi remains ever so perverted, alike Jiraiya, while Tsunade is still the Baa-chan that she refuses to admit. Shikamaru's still lazy, and his favourite phrase is still, "Troublesome." Kiba's still dumb, Hinata's still shy, Gaara's still stiff, Ino's still loud and Chouji's fatter than ever! Shino, however, became much funnier to watch. BWAHAHAHAHA.
In Naruto Shippuden, the plot thickens with loads of tear jerking moments which included the loss of Asuma Sarutobi to the Akatsuki. At the time of his death, his lover, Kurenai, was bearing his baby! The explosive start in Shippuden featured the near death of Sabaku no Gaara, who is the Kazekage of Sunagakure in a battle with Akatsuki. The slow but exciting reveal of the Akatsuki members, which includes Sasuke's brother, Itachi, was well planned and nerve racking!
Who would have guessed that Sasuke would rise far greater than Orochimaru itself? Who would have guessed that the ANBU had such a deep secret within its organisation? Who would have guessed that the Elders in Konoha were against Tsunade? Who were the members of the fearful Akatsuki? Did you know that Orochimaru was part of Akatsuki? Or rather that.... Sasuke could kill someone even the 3rd Hokage couldn't kill?
So many clouded conspiracies circling the Uchiha clan was cleared. Nobody would have guessed that the head behind the Akatsuki is a living Uchiha. Not just ANY Uchiha, but Uchiha Madara! The very founder of the clan itself! AND, nobody would have guessed that Itachi was actually framed by the very village he loved and protected! And all that because of a certain idiot behind the scenes named Danzo, who was pulling all the strings?! Who knew that Itachi was going blind, thanks to his Mangekyo Sharingan? He wasn't a prodigy, he was a slave to his father and his father's dreams!!
And if you think that's the end of it, think again. All these secrets about the Uchiha clan was finally cleared because SASUKE KILLED HIS OWN BROTHER. And now, having known the exposed truth behind Konoha's dirty politicking, Sasuke is set to destroy his own hometown with his own bare hands.
... interesting, eh? And we're only getting started!
Nobody would have predicted the death of Jiraiya to his own fellow disciple, Pain. Or the deaths of Shizune and even Kakashi in battlefield when Pain attacked Konoha? Or that Naruto grew so much that he was able to defeat Pain single-handedly? Or that Pain could use Forbidden Jutsus to revive the lives of those he took at the cost of his own life?
What about the aftermath of Pain's attacks? It costed Tsunade to go into a deep coma, and this opened the path for Danzo to steal the leadership of Konoha! Imagine Danzo being the Hokage! And... have you ever wondered what was behind the mask over Danzo's right eye? You've got it right if you gussed it as.... the Sharingan!!
On Naruto's side of the story.... how he felt when he knew that his father was the 4th Hokage himself, who sealed the Kyuubi inside his own son? And what happened when Naruto lost so much control over himself that he metamorphosised into eight tails?!?!
And Hinata... Hinata really did let her feelings out for Naruto IN THE END. OMG. OMG. OMG.
OMG. I'm in awe of the entire plot.
That's one whole long terrible spoiler, I'm telling you. I'm sorry but I had to let go of some steam. It was so, so, so EXCITING! Getting all this worked up over Asch and Naruto is putting a big toll on my heart. BWAHAHAHAHAHA.
I declare that I love all things non-existent. Support Naruto by watching and becoming a fan, people!! Be as addicted to it as I am!! OMG~!!
*fangirl squeals*
