Naruto Spoilers Chapter 515 and beyond

OMIGOSHHHHHH NARUTOOOOOO *fangirl shrieks*

SPOILERS START HERE
CHAPTER 515 AND BEYOND

Naruto's storyline is really, really expanding up to a stage now where words cannot explain how exhilarating the story is becoming to be. OMG! It sends chills down my spine just seeing how different the whole story is at the beginning compared to how it is now.

Naruto started all funny and ridiculous; childish and immature, all centering about a mischievous boy whose dreams seemed impossible to achieve - to become the next Hokage.

Naruto's memorable antics! AWWWWWW

BUT. Tell me how Naruto evolved into THIS today?!

TODAY, the story centers about the great Ninja War to protect the final Jinchuuriki from the hands of Akatsuki who intends to dominate the world.

.... OMG.

The start of the Fourth Ninja War! OMGGG!

Gaara - Captain Commander General of the Offensive Force. OMGGGGGG!

AND THE HIGHLIGHT of it all: Gaara's touching speech that moved me to tears!! *sobs like a lunatic* OMGGGGGGGG

GAARA'S GROWN UP SO MUCHHHHHH!! BUT I STILL LOVE YOU REGARDLESS!!! GAAAAAARAAAAAAA! *sobs and wails like a mad fangirl*

*sobs and cries some more*

NARUTO's just awesome! Unlike SOME manga in which their orange-coloured hero turned SOOOOO ultimately cool that the mangaka themselves do not know what to make of it later on. Hmmmmph.

… and then the two-week fairy tale ends

These two weeks have been nothing but sheer fun and relaxation! In addition to finishing Tales of Legendia (plus 2 out of 8 character side quests XD), Ultimate Ninja 5, Kafka on the Shore, Senkou no Night Raid and Rosario to Vampire – I went out almost everyday with family and pals. And having visited Gurney almost 6 times in a week was BEYOND scary. XD

Not that I don’t miss my lovable/crazy/murderer uni pals – but a separation of 3 months from the ‘siau’ness of my favourite Hokkien-speaking Penangites was what made it all so different! I missed stirring up a ruckus everywhere we went, talking like loudspeakers and laughing like psychos! And these two weeks relieved all of that.

Psychoing the Clinic Cafe

Gurney Drive waiting for Raya fireworks (??)

Nonsense posing by the beach XD

...? Indian dance, maybe?

THIS MAN IS AWESOME!
Try asking me to stop moving for 10s and I'd probably be worn out.

Form 6 drama crew reunites in Gurney!

More random pics :P

Ee Lui and I sharing a bite~

AWWWWWW!! Form 6 classmates reunite! Missed you dudes loads!
NEXT time, Siva and Viki better sit around longer. SHEESH.

Havoc ensues when U6Sc3 meets U6Sc2

First time in Winter Warmers! (I know I'm lame, okay. XD)

BEFORE I FORGET: Congratulations HuiYing on having found B-Blacks all the way in Singapore! You’ve done us all proud since local universities ‘kepupusan kaum lelaki’. BWAHAHAHAHA

As for VINNY TAN: You siau kia everyday threatening to divorce?!?! What did I do wrong?!?! I’ll smack MYen for stealing you from me. XD (GOSH this sounds so wrong – don’t get the wrong message, peeps. I ain’t lesbo. XD)

Anyway, heard so many nonsensical stories these 2 weeks that it makes me smile every time I think about it: Huiyee’s story about singing in class, Apek’s thief-in-training with his hostel door and his AH SAM(S), Gerry Ah Kia using SK-2 (??!!), Ama and Ju’s ‘awesome’ lecturers… the list goes on!

THANK YOU EVERYONE. I really had a two-week long fairy tale with you guys: so much of slacking off and having fun that going back to uni almost feels like falling hard on reality. Ya know, the usual back-to-school (um, uni?) blues? MAN, I sleep at 4am and wake up at 11am almost everyday these two weeks – I WONDER HOW I’M GONNA GO BACK TO WAKING UP AT 7AM. PowPow, save me! XD

Looking forward to December holidays already! That time, we’re gonna have our FULL FORCE back. HAHAHAHAHA. I miss Hone-y. No worries, time’s gonna fly past by fast and sweet.

I LOVE EVERYONE. Good luck in whatever tests, quizzes, road trips or random uni outings! See ya again in December!

BLEACH SPOILERS FOR CHAPTERS 410 AND BEYOND.

This post contains nothing but

BLEACH SPOILERS. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. CHAPTERS 410 AND BEYOND.

I've been following BLEACH for so long all because of a certain silver-haired bishie that I've grown to love ever since he made an appearance. Ever since the Rukia incident in Seireitei. Ever since he crossed blades with Hitsugayaa Toshiro. Ever since he grew attached to Matsumoto Rangiku. Ever since he betrayed Seireitei.

ICHIMARU GIN.

...

....

.....

......

*heart races like a psycho*

SPOILERS GALORE STARTS HERE:

Battle at the real Karakura town in Seireitei -

UP TO THIS POINT I WAS IN SHEER JUBILATION OF GIN - killing Rangiku, blasting a hole in Aizen's chest, stealing Aizen's Hougyoku... WHOOO-HOOOOO!!!

... but then, good things don't last forever when you're a bad dude. *sobs*

No, Gin.... NO!

...NO!

...NO! NO! NO!

NOOOOOOOOOOOO!

At this part I was already crying/wailing like a psychopath. And when you think things just couldn't get any worse... this strawberry fool shows up.

... and looks at my awesome Gin with empathic eyes. ARGHHHHHHH! How dare you! Gin looks awesomely hawt even when h-h-he's...

... gone.

AND of course, I've seriously lost interest in BLEACH all of a sudden. OKAY, I knew bad guys just HAVE to die, and I was fearing his death ever since Tosen's defeat and death. I'll just count my blessings and be thankful that he died in Aizen's hands rather than Ichigo's. But still...

...he's gone. :(

Marathon Success!

GAH. I'm breaking the blogging-about-myself streak with a very short post today today. Gomen ne. XD

Remember how I said that I wished I could at least finish about 60% of my anime collection before I enter varsity? WAHAHAHAHAHAHA! MISSION ACCOMPLISHED.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Over the span of one week I've successfully finished Tales of the Abyss, To Aru Majutsu no Index, Seiken no Burakkusumisu, Kampfer Asu no Yoichi, Canaan and Tears to Tiara. BWAHAHAHAHA! That's an awesome feat, ya know? And of course I've managed to watch every other thing that's currently ongoing to the latest episodes: Bleach @267, Fairy Tail @35, Shippuden @167, Hakuoki @12 and Uraboku @12 as well. BWAHAHAHAHAHA.

I'M SO PROUD OF MYSELF!! BWAHAHAHAHAHA!

Currently almost done with Rosario to Vampire and Darker than Black: Gemini of the Meteor. Yippee! I'd probably finish Rosario by today. 'Til next time, others. :(

On another note, GAH. Despite still being in Penang, I'm actually having trouble packing my clothes. I thought a baju kurung would cost between RM30 to RM50, but I'm pretty surprised that they can cost well over a hundred. WHOA. And we ain't even talking about the KEBAYA yet. WHOA. Sorry for the wrong info, Ama. Wanna join me at Kamdar to buy 'em? XD

ANYWAY. Getting more and more excited! And tomorrow is the day! Whoo-hoo! Hopefully I'll be able to find friends who are as crazy as my current group of loud monkeys. I've long forgotten how it was once like to live in silence. BWAHAHAHAAHHA

10:52 PM

Summer 2010 To-Watch-List!

I should be packing stuff and preparing to enter university instead of worrying over being unable to catch the awesome new list of summer 2010 (June-July) anime! ARGHHHHHH! Why am I all obsessed over watching fictitious shows when I should be more concerned about more important things in life? Sheesh.

(If I have a chance to minor in a language, I'm DEFINITELY taking Japanese. BWAHAHAHA!)

Anyway... I'll be looking forward to these:
(despite maybe being unable to catch up to them :( )

Seikimatsu Occult Gakuin (Occult Academy)
Horror and school comedy series - a strange mix that may probably be worth the watch, I hope?

Seikimatsu Occult Gakuin

Honestly, I've had a little too much of supernatural happenings in an academy-like city after watching a double dose of To Aru Kagaku no Railgun and now To Aru Majutsu no Index. But to be fair, I shouldn't just rule it out unjustly just because I'm rushing to finish up watching everything I collected. XD

Maya is the daughter of the former Headmaster of a private Japanese academy. Maya's father was very dedicated to the study of the occult but died mysteriously back in 1999. The entire anime revolves around Maya and a Uchida, a mysterious young man who time travels from the past, present and future.

Kuroshitsuji 2 (The Black Butler)
OMG! Does anybody remember my gorgeous Sebastian the demon butler? And the chibi Ciel?

Sebastian and Ciel - Kuroshitsuji Season 1

SEASON 2 ROBS ME OF THE GORGEOUS SEBASTIAN. Something that pains me terribly. :(

Claude and Alois - Kuroshitsuji Season 2

However, the new season revolves around YET another butler and his master, which trails closely to the demon-butler-serves-master concept in Kuroshitsuji 1. The new butler Claude Faustus now serves Alois Trancy - and I must say, Alois Trancy is seriously the eye-candy character to observe. NYAHAHAHAHAHA! Unless there are megane fans out there who might prefer the bespectacled demon butler. XD

Nurarihyon no Mago (Grandchild of Nurarihyon)
Human-demon plot. Me likey! XD

Nurarihyon no Mago

This anime revolves around Rikuo Nura who has a quarter demon blood (youkai) in him. He lives in a house full of spirits with his grandfather. Rikuo is destined to inherit the title of head of Nura youkai clan from his grandfather - despite trying to escape his fate of being a quarter demon.

So basically we have a reluctant part-youkai who's trying to defy his fate as clan leader. And of course anime of this genre will have quite a few antagonists - that present themselves as opposing factions wishing to overthrow Rikuo as head in this anime. Sounds interesting enough, though, no?

Shi Ki (Corpse Demon)
Pretty girls, cute guys and an unpredictable horror/paranormal event - AWESOME! This one is the most highly anticipated among the three for me. Whoo-hoo! I LOVE horror stuff! Let's just hope it doesn't let down like Mouryou no Hako... XD

It gives off an unmistakable Higurashi aura, in which I felt was completely killed by characters who look too cute to give out the horror vibes. Furude Rika is NOT suitable to play such a leading role in the series and that kinda annoys me at times. I actually prefer the Higurashi manga oneshots which centralizes on the misfortune that befalls those who move out of Hinamizawa - what with the Oyashiro-sama's curse.

Eh... to sum it up? I LOVE gruesome and grotesque stuff. BWAHAHAHAHAHA XD

Shi Ki

Saw the preview of Shi Ki and am pretty amazed by the music and the mystery! But the lead character is a woman and so - HMMM. You know I'm not too fond of women as lead characters. Well, hopefully Shi Ki will have a cast of mysterious looking characters who are fit enough to get the mood settings on track!

I'm ALL PUMPED UP AND EXCITED!!! XD XD

In case you're wondering how I'm killing my eyes as of now, I'm watching Seiken no Burakkusumisu (The Sacred Blacksmith), To Aru Majutsu no Index (A Certain Magical Index), Kampfer, Canaan, Durarara, Yumeiro Patissier and 07 Ghost.

I'm also attempting to finish up all the OLDER anime I neglected to watch some years ago, including names like: Rozen Maiden, Soul Link, Prince of Tennis: National Championship, Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles, xxxHolic, Tales of Symphonia, Hayate no Gotoku, Valkyria Chronicles and Tears to Tiara. Most unlikely to finish them all, though. :(

DARN! Shouldn't have bought so many to begin with! SHEESH.

Of course I'm still watching all the other ongoing stuff: Naruto Shippuden, Bleach, Fairy Tail, Hakuoki Shinsengumi Kitan, Senkou no Night Raid, Ichiban Ushiro no Daimaou, Uraboku and even Seikon no Qwaser (Director's Cut). HAHAHAHA! It's IMPERATIVE that I add that 'Director's Cut' so that otakus out there will realise I'm not as hentai as you think I am. BWAHAHAHAHA.

And MANDA darling, you'll be surprised how watchable it actually is compared to the uncensored version. XD

Finished Mouryou no Hako just last week - that anime has more talk than action. GAHHHH. Also done with Umineko no Naku Koro Ni, finally.

And thus, I shall continue on my marathon for as long as I can keep this up. WAHHHHH!! Let me finish at least 60% of them before next week, please? *sniffs*

1:35 PM

Of Fairy Tail and Bleach

Whee-hoo!! My passion for anime is peaking as I blog right now... no thanks to BLEACH. XD True enough that my pace for BLEACH-watching is almost verging on miraculous (caught up to episode 274 now from episode 145 in 5 days... WOW! XD) but it was the show FAIRY TAIL that built a completely different level of exhilaration as compared to BLEACH.

Fairy Tail!
Love this show! Love the stripping Gray! XD XD

Bleach may have an interesting plot what with Aizen's betrayal, Urahara's past in Soul Society, the Zanpakutou rebellion arcs and all... but it would have been MUCH, MUCH better if the entire series did not drag out all the scenes. There are too many fillers, too little action, too much talking, too much exaggeration and the time line for battles just don't fall into place.

(And if you watch Bleach online like me, you can't quite post up comments like these or risk getting trampled by Bleach-lovers who'll curse you and make it sound as if you should rot in hell. There's no freedom of speech there, sadly.)

If you were to just randomly pay more attention to the fighting scenes especially that in Hueco Mundo and the Karakura Town showdown between the Espada(s) and the 13 Protection Squads - EACH EPISODE will boil down to this:
1 1/2 minutes - Opening song
5 minutes - Recap of previous episode
5 minutes - Exaggerating/boasting about one's powers and reiatsu
5 minutes - Interaction with the enemy/bragging rights
2 minutes - Still frames/Exaggeration of damage dealt and received yet none too fatal
3 minutes - Pure thrill/action
1 1/2 minutes - Ending song
GRAND TOTAL: 23 minutes

... which actually means that I only enjoy 3 minutes of action. WOW. So much for a Shonen/Action show, huh? I relatively prefer the 'past' arcs than these present fighting arcs. At least the plot is thick, relevant and engaging. Sheesh.

And if anyone is wondering why I'm watching BLEACH again after stopping for 3 years? HAHAHAHA! It's to abate my love for Ichimaru Gin!!! NYAHHHHHH~!! Gin-chan!! It's been 3 years!!! *nosebleeds*

Ichimaru Gin!! *nosebleeds*
As gorgeous as ever in white... *swoons*

AHEM.

Well... as for Fairy Tail. I don't quite know whether it's because I watched a hefty amount of BLEACH before I watched Fairy Tail that made me feel so refreshed at the sudden change of pace. You see, Fairy Tail is very fast-paced, action-packed and exciting! A tale of adventure, courage, friendship and love! PURE SHONEN THRILLLLLLL!!! XD

Fairy Tail revolves around a fictitious world that has many, many guilds consisting of magic users. And Fairy Tail happens to be the name of one of the most influential guild in that world. We follow the adventures of Lucy, the celestial wizard and Natsu, the fire wizard who is looking for a dragon named Igneel.

I watched Fairy Tail, immersing myself in the laughable adventures of Natsu and Lucy - UNTIL A DOG NAMED PLUE SUDDENLY EMERGED OUT OF NOWHERE.

Plue from Fairy Tail

Plue from Rave...
(The only difference is that their paws are of different colour. XP)

Wait, now. Was I watching Fairy Tail or a remake of RAVE...?!?!

RAVE Master: Groove Adventure
I enjoyed this show a whole lot last time! XD

Poked my nose around a little and found out that Fairy Tail's mangaka is Hiro Mashima = same mangaka as Rave Master. Ahhhhhh! No wonder the similarities! XD

It's been a LONG, LONG time since I last watched something as fun as this. Rave fans out there - remember Haru and his gigantic sword? (I for one definitely remember Musica. XD) Coincidentally Haru's name means Spring in Japanese and Natsu's name means Summer. WHOA!! I guess Mr. Hiro Mashima really loves nature... XD

What's more intriguing is this character Kageyama from the dark guild Eisenwald.

Kageyama from Eisenwald in Fairy Tail

... don't you think he bears a startling resemblance to none other than SHIKAMARU NARA from Naruto?!?!?!

Nara Shikamaru from Naruto

And to think that the both of them actually commands Kage (shadows). OMG! XD

I also finished Tatakau Shisho: The Book of Bantorra and I'll say this: THIS ANIME IS AWESOME!!! (No different from my last post when I wrote about it... HAHAHAHA) It is unpredictably AWESOME! Fantastic plot! Cool fighting scenes! A fair dose of love! HOT BOOBS!!

Unlike some anime where their lead hero/heroine is rather IMMORTAL, even after Bankai-ing for about a thousand times and bleeding from head to toe - this anime, Tatakau Shisho - is amazingly believable. WOW! It's the first time I'm really all psyched up on an action anime where the main character is female. And I've already finished it quite a few days ago. Watch it if you can! It's different and engaging.

And thus, I shall continue Fairy Tail-ing right now. Whee-hoo!! I'm all for Hiro Mashima's works! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

11:37 PM

Anime Feast Marathon!! Whoo-hoo!!

THIS POST REEKS OF SPOILERS.
You have been warned! XD

In case anybody’s wondering…? My gaming streak is lying low for the moment - thanks to a very HIGH level of difficulty for my final few remaining odyssey characters for Dissidia. BWAHAHAHAHA. Both Bartz and Onion Knight’s level of difficulty is 4/5 while Terra and the Warrior of Light is 5/5?!?!?! FUHHHH. I’m sweating just thinking about it. XD

Yup, Manda, in case you’re reading this: I’M ACTUALLY DONE WITH THE REST – Firion, Cecil, Cloud, Squall, Zidane and Tidus! Whoo-hoo!! Talk about a gaming marathon!! Whee~!! And my favourite character to use so far would be ZIDANE TRIBAL!!!

I LOVE YOU ZIDANEEEEEE~!! You’re unparalleled in midair combat!! I love you loads cause you’re so EASY to use in places where there is insufficient footing!! (which covers 3/4 of the battle venues in Dissidia..) LOVE~!! LOVE~!! *foolish fangirl shrieks*

Ahem.

(And I hate using you two: Squall, Cloud. Boo to you. Especially Squall. You’re completely lousy in midair. XD)

Ahem. Sorry, I digress.

Anyway, right now I find myself downright IMMERSED in a very random anime fever once again… BWAHAHAHAHA!! I guess there are quite a few mentionable titles to watch right now after the ‘hentai’ phase is over. Whoo-hoo!!

And this is a list of titles I recently watched and felt compelled to give it some credit for originality, plot and… BISHIES~!! NYAHHHHH~!! *nosebleeds*

By the way, I somewhat realized that some mangakas are really creative with names! They don’t come out with REGULAR JAPANESE NAMES anymore for their characters, no? Instead, they have these very FANCY FOREIGN names that are getting harder and harder for us fans to pronounce. Sheesh. Examples? Erm… Lag Seeing! Largo Lloyd! Zazie! Hamyuts Meseta! … just to name a few. XD

ANYWAY.
1. Tegami Bachi

FIRST AND FOREMOST: SILVER-HAIRED BISHIE ALERT. *nosebleeds*
(And I darn well ain’t talking about the 12-yr-old who hasn’t reached puberty.)

Tegami Bachi
From left: Niche, Connor, Lag and the ever-AWESOME Zazie!! (Zazie's always got the coolest entrance among the rest of them. XD)

OKAY. So this anime ain’t that new at all actually. XD I first watched the first episode some FIVE months ago but that time I was all caught up in my Eyeshield 21 Hiruma Yoichi fever that I paid almost no attention at all to this anime. Ahahahaha. I’m sorry.

(Why in the world did I just apologise?!?!)

Anyway, watched the first episode all over again TODAY and fell head over heels for none other than… (silver haired bishie alert!!) GAUCHE SUEDE!!! OMG!!

The awesome Gauche Suede!

Loved him the instant he appeared – and that’s no surprise because his seiyuu is none other than the awesome: JUN FUKUYAMA. *swoons* Lelouch Lamperouge! Keiichi Shimizu!! Toshitsugu Fujiwara!! Kei Takishima!! Vincent Nightray!! Shinra Kishitani!! And now… GAUCHE SUEDE~!! *swoons*

… I love Jun Fukuyama ALMOST as much as I love Kenichi Suzumura and Mamoru Miyano… ahhhhhh…. *swoons*

.... *swoons some more*

I apologise for my random fangirl ramblings. XD AHEM.

Anyway, this anime is commendable and watchable if you have the patience to sit back and relax while watching crybaby Lag Seeing wail and cry throughout 9/10 parts of the show. YEAH. He cries at EVERY single episode except for episode 21 (was it?) where this blind researcher told him about her past memories with Gauche in a flashback.

Lag Seeing's crybaby wails really ticks me off...

The plot’s really awesome, about Tegami Bachi(s) or Letter Bees that deliver letters all over the world for a hefty price – because every delivery puts their life on the line. Gaichuus (monsters) are attracted to the HEART in humans and letters and therefore hunt any Bees that come close to their lairs. The show starts off with Lag as Gauche’s letter. During the delivery, the relationship between Lag and Gauche became more than just friends. Lag determines to be a Bee just as well as Gauche was.

Five years later, when Lag becomes a full-fledged Bee, he finds out that Gauche, his idol and role model - has been sacked from being a Tegami Bachi. Gauche disappeared mysteriously!!!

I miss you, Gauche! I really do!! *wails alike Lag*

AHEM. CGI effects for the Gaichuus, however… HMMMMM. It kinda reminds me of DRUAGA from The Tower of Druaga. Very mecha-ish. GAH. Not that I’m complaining. CGI graphics are good for games!! XDD

And the plot thickens and darkens until – WHAM!! Episode 25 of Season 1 ended – JUST LIKE THAT?!?!

WHAT A CLIFFHANGER!!! The ANTICIPATION! The WAIT!! Do you all know how agonizing that is?!?!?! ARGHHHHH!! And just when Gauche finally reappears?? ARGHHHHH!!

(Thank goodness the second season commences this fall. I would have killed if they made me wait any longer. XD)

And so to state the obvious: I ACTUALLY FINISHED THE WHOLE SERIES IN ONE DAY AND HAD ENOUGH TIME TO BLOG ABOUT IT. Muahahahahaha~

Overall review? Probably an 8/10. Fillers and the incessant crying scenes made me feel like killing Lag sometimes.

2. Asura Cryin’

The cast of Asura Cryin'

FOR GOODNESS SAKE, I JUST MENTIONED THAT I WOULD KILL LAG IF HE CRIED SOME MORE AND THIS ANIME’S TITLE IS ASURA CRYIN’?!?!?! Just kidding! XD This anime has nothing to do with sobbing crybabies and is a pretty good anime with a solid plot, too!

Tomoharu Natsume received a bag from his far, far away brother. Little does he know that the bag actually contains secrets of the world that may change or jeopardize the world. The trunk contains Asura Machina – thus Tomo became the Handler of the Kurogane after sacrificing his best friend Misao as a Burial Doll. Tomo also finds himself smacked in the middle of a war of balance between the Holy Guards and Demons.

Slightly mecha-ish element.
I hope to do better with this show than I ever had with any other mecha titles: RahXephon, Gundam XD

YES… the story is as complicating as how complicated it sounds above. XD Slightly mecha-ish, and I USUALLY find myself hopeless when I watch most mecha stuff – but I’m surprised how well I’m taking this in!! HAHAHAHAHA!! Probably it’s because I’m only at the 5th episode, but still…

… it’s interesting. Worth your time, at least. No eye-candy bishies... but a whole lot of boobies for those who’re interested. XD

...

I can’t believe I just said that. BWAHAHAHAHA

Overall? Can’t quite rate it fairly yet because I’ve only made 5 episodes into the show. Probably a 6/10, I guess so far?

You know what? Having bishies would really make a difference to the show. XD

3. Hakuoki Shinsengumi Kitan

Bishie feast!!! YAY!!! It's been a LONG time since such a show!

… I just mentioned bishies, and this show is somewhat OVERLOADED with them. OMG!!! *fangirl squeals* Bishie galore!! Whee~!!

This show comes to me as AWKWARD because I started it right after I finished 201 episodes of Gintama. There’s a parody of Shinsengumi in Gintama but if you were to compare Gintama’s Shinsengumi to Hakuoki’s Shinengumi – you’ll find that there’s barely a similarity to their personalities despite their same names. XD

Hijikata in Hakuoki

VS.
Hijikata (black) in Gintama

= a world of difference! XD

Kondou, Hijikata, my darling Okita Sougo (*nosebleeds*) and even Yamazaki the spy are featured in both versions of Shinsengumi. Although; I MUST add that somehow - I love Gintama’s Shinsengumi much, much more than the bishie-studded Hakuoki’s Shinsengumi! Hakuoki is really serious and relevant rather than the obscenely CRAZY Gintama! And myself, as a person with no common sense (or so I tell Hime-chan and Ama) I really learnt to appreciate Gintama’s psychotic-light-humour. XD

NOTE THAT I AM IN FAVOUR OF GINTAMA’S SOUGO OKITA ONLY AND NOT HAKUOKI’S. (No way I’m gonna like a TB- infected dude, man! XD)

By the way, for those who didn’t know… Shinsengumi really DID exist in Japanese history. Ahahaha. I’ve been studying a whole lot of Japanese culture, myths and history lately so yeah; I’m pretty amazed how related anime is to its culture!

(For example: Uchiha Itachi from Naruto Shippuden is a formidable opponent with three main skills. His genjutsu: Tsukiyomi, his in-extinguishable black flames: Amaterasu and his weapon and shield: Susanoo. Tsukiyomi, Amaterasu and Susanoo are actually names of Japanese mythical gods! WOW! There’s a whole lot of myth and history to it… so read it up if you’re interested. I’m lazy to elaborate on the relationship between these three sibling gods. XD)

So yeah… Hakuoki’s based on a spin-off real Japanese history. Watchable, but to put a GIRL as the main character kinda annoys me at times. XD I’m sorry, but I prefer gays.

Overall? A 6/10, I guess. So far it has been released until episode 8 only and so that’s where I am now. XD

4. Tatakau Shisho: The Book of Bantorra

Tatakau Shishou: The Book of Bantorra

THIS ANIME IS AWESOME!! XD Weird names, though. That’s where all these hard-to-pronounce character names pop out. Hamyuts Meseta! Mattalast Ballory! Mirepoc! Volken! Noloty! Colio!! Shindeki Church! OMG, seriously. XD

Set in medieval times, lies a world where deceased people turn into books. These books are placed in Bantorra, where people can read them by touching these stone-like books and learn about the past of the deceased. Bantorra is maintained by Armed Librarians who yield supernatural powers. Bantorra’s arch-enemy, the Shindeki Church, is a cult that strongly believes that Books should ascend to heaven instead of being kept in Bantorra.

The series is divided into arcs in which each of them portrays human greed, sorrow, happiness, hope and despair. And with each arc – secret after secret is slowly being revealed.

It came to me as hard to understand at first but as the story progresses – it’s just amazing to see how relevant this anime is in portraying the ever-changing human heart! Enemies become allies and allies become enemies, making this entire series unpredictably entertaining. And did I mention that the fighting scenes are AWESOME?!?! XD

No bishies once again, but there are HUGE boobies to feast on. BWAHAHAHAHA!!

...

(I said something unthinkable again, didn’t I? XP)

Overall? Short, sweet and action-packed. Probably an 8/10. Whee-hoo!!

GAHHHHHH. I feel like a pro anime watcher and a pro gamer after writing this post. Gotta finish everything I wanna watch before next month!! =( Exactly 1 month and 2 days from now I’ll be fretting over lectures and tutorials like a psycho, man. Sheesh.

My only regret with my time management? … I wished I had finished more anime and games in the earlier months before! What was I doing?!?! Sheesh!! Now I’m rushing like a psycho to finish Xenosaga III that I abandoned some years ago. Together with all the remaining Final Fantasy(s)!! Good thing I read Apek’s post about time management – now I can finish an entire series in a day!! Whoo-hoo!! Wait for me, Uraboku! Shugo Chara! BLEACH!

Thanks Apek! I’m not about to go off studying regretting what I could have done during my holidays. XD

Toaru Kagaku no Railgun - A Review

MAN! I should just convert my entire blog into a rambling anime-game-and-everything-in-between review site! For the past few posts, I've been posting up 5% worth of my life stories and 95% worth of nothing to do with my life ramblings. WOW!

(And before I comment about this random new anime that I found, I'm gonna add here that Final Fantasy Dissidia is mind-blowing!! WHOA!! The battle system is strange, and the concept doesn't appeal much to me at all, but WHAT THE HECK?!?!?! Where else do you get to see SQUALL vs. SEPHIROTH?!?!?! OMG! Where else do you see TIDUS FIGHT ALONGSIDE ZIDANE?!?!?! OMG! The beautiful villians all brought back to life!! However, I don't quite see Jecht's relevance in this. Sure, he's Sin and all but... seeing Jecht is so anticlimatic. I'd rather see the other cute-villian from FFX: Seymour. Ahahaha. Imagine my shock seeing Edea come back to life and Kuja too. XD)

My Eyes are Chasing: To Aru Kagaku no Railgun!!!

Okay, so about this show To Aru Kagaku no Railgun. A very strange English title, which after translation reads as A Certain Scientific Railgun. Yeah. Doesn't make sense? XD The series ended just last month!! Pretty new, I guess~ XD Though... I'm really kinda proud to have found it, because it's the least ECHHI/HENTAI thing that I've watched for the past few months. And it actually possesses some SUBSTANCE. THANK GOD!

(If you need an example of recent anime I've watched which were... IMMODEST, yeah, titles include Seikon no Qwaser - breasts... *sighs* and Dance in the Vampire Bund - about stripping vampires *sighs*. AND I'm surprised that even GINTAMA has strangely dirty jokes. I thought the target audience were kids?!?!?! Apparently not. Jokes which were all extremely funny, though. HAHAHAHA XD)

(What more watching all that Junjou Romantica and Iroku Irokoi Romantan... Ahahahaha XD)

So YEAH, To Aru Kagaku no Railgun. Interesting fictional places, well-thought out plots, great storyline... but the only setback? ...Girl-girl relationships! Ain't exactly my cup of tea (at all, I might add... you know I prefer boy-boy stuff XD) but I'm proud to say that it doesn't spoil the action too much. Yeeeeee-hawwww!

ANYWAY, the story revolves around students in a city called Academy City where technology is 10X greater than technology in any other city in the world. And the pull here in this city is not just the level of education or how safe the city is for students (which you will see later on that security is actually the biggest flaw... *sweatdrops*) but students who enroll here: can cultivate supernatural powers. Majority of students, though - but not all.

Each student's abilities are measured by LEVELS, from 0 up to 5, which is the highest. Level 0 students are normal students who do not possess abilities. AND in the whole city, there are only 7 Level 5 users who can exhibit CRAZY powers - and we are lucky enough that the 3rd ranked Level 5 user in Academy City is our lead character, Misaka Mikoto! She is the ultimate Electromaster manipulating electricity. XD

Misaka Mikoto: She has a strange charm about her that draws the audience to her.

She puts up a tough front, but is actually into childish kiddy stuff. And unlike boastful high leveled ability users, she's MODEST. Her powers are nothing to belittle either. She is a genius of hard work, rather than a natural. Pretty smart for a 2nd year middle-schooler too. The perfect kinda bishie if she were one. BOOOOOO!!!!!!

Her nickname by the way is 'The Railgun'. Which is why the title has the word Railgun, I guess?

You know what? Things would be MUCH, MUCH better if Misaka were a boy instead. GAHHHH. Cos there's this girl called Shirai who's all lesbian-y over Misaka. Disgusting :( (Let me add that Shirai tends to act all hentai-ish in front of Misaka.)

Misaka and Shirai.
Shirai really spoils the whole show with her INTENSE AFFECTION for Misaka.

DARNNNNNNN! Just when you THOUGHT you found a good anime, a girl shows up and destroys everything!

An example of a light ecchi moment would be like this:

Misaka kicking Shirai out of her bathroom.

To explain things... Shirai oftens misuses her Level 4 Teleporting abilities to sneak up on Misaka. Annoying! Thank goodness Misaka rejects her with a whack to the head or a good electric shock to her brain. GAHHHHHHH.

. . .

IT SPOILS THE SHOWWWWWWWWW!!! *cries*

Ahem! Still enjoyable despite the girl-girl nonsense... XD

The Level Upper arc in this series really caught my attention because of this professor.

A genius! A real genius!

Look at her eyes!! I was so caught up in this arc because...

... HER EYES REMINDED ME OF LELOUCH LAMPEROUGE WHOM I MISS SO MUCH FROM CODE GEASS. One day, I'm gonna get the entire Code Geass R2 series. God knows why I do not have it! GRRRRRR.

This anime also has some degree of erm... intelligence in it which requires some complex computer-ing stuff. It all feels believable, ya know? The fighting scenes should be lauded, because the girls fight with brains rather than brawns. Which is interesting.

Now that I think of it, this anime kinda reminds me of Darker than Black!! Ability users, fighting for what they believe in and awkward justice! YEAHHHH. To Aru Kagaku no Railgun features this group of people known as Judgment, whose job is to protect peace in a city full of ability users.

All in all, fuse in School Rumble, Girls' High, Ichigo 100%, Darker than Black and a tinge of Code Geass = To Aru Kagaku no Railgun. Interesting and watchable! Bishounen hunters should severely avoid this series though. You're all gonna get seriously disappointed. AHAHAHAHAHA XD

My ratings? 6.5/10
However... If Misaka were a boy? 9/10
